Important note: All expenses associated with adquiring, shipping and maintaing mice used in any of these procedures, as well as all required health tests, will be invoiced in addition and independently to the researcher/user according to what will be indicated by the Animal Facility of CNB. The CNB Cryopreservation Facility will be in charge of ordering the required animals, according to the researcher/user and the Animal Facility of CNB.
..(*) The generation of new mouse models genetically edited with CRISPR in mouse embryos will be carried out by electroporation. The following types of mutated alleles will be produced: gene inactivation; deletion, addition or substitution (indels) up to ~5 bp with template oligonucleotides; deletions up to ~10 kb. The provision of mouse models generated with CRISPR will be accomplished through INFRAFRONTIER/EMMA. CRISPR activities of EMMA are covered by non-exclusive worldwide licenses granted by Caribou Biosciences, Inc. and the Broad Institute, Inc. to Helmholtz Zentrum München - Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Gesundheit und Umwelt (GmbH). Researchers are entitled to request up to one year (for CRISPR mouse strains) of no visibility for their mouse models deposited into the EMMA-INFRAFRONTIERINFRAFRONTIER/EMMA database and the detailed license conditions can be found in the applicable Material Transfer Agreement (MTA).
We remind all interested researchers/users that it is possible to access to cryopreserve and/or maintain their mouse lines according to EMMA/INFRAFRONTIER conditions free of cost, only covering shipment expenses to CNB.
